Shalom! One of the great privileges we have is being present at life cycle events and rituals for families who are part of our community. We pride ourselves on officiating at these milestone events in your life with great care and sensitivity.
We invite you to review our adopted Ritual Observances Guidelines and Policies for all life cycle events which take place either inside the congregation or off site. The policies and procedures are meant to give you and your family an understanding of how we can best serve our congregation and community for all of your ritual needs in accordance with Jewish tradition.
Brit Millah and Baby Naming Ceremonies
We welcome all new babies into the Covenant of the People of Israel through "Brit Millah – Circumcisions," and "Britei Banot – Naming Ceremonies for Girls." These ceremonies can be arranged individually with members of our clergy.
Bar and Bat Mitzvah Program
Congregation Beth Israel provides a very thorough program for preparation of our B'nei Mitzvah students including Religious School, training and tutoring. We invite you to learn more about our B'nei Mitzvah Program. One aspect of our program that is unique to Congregation Beth Israel is the amount of one-on-one time students spend with our Rabbis. Unlike most congregations throughout the United States, our rabbis teach the Pre-B'nai Mitzvah classes, lead our Family Education program and take every student on our famous "Starbuck's" visit the day before their ceremonies.
Weddings can be arranged with our clergy on an individual basis.
Funerals and Unveilings
At Congregation Beth Israel we provide intimate and meaningful end of life services for our members. Please contact our clergy on an individual basis to make arrangements.
