A Wonderful Feeling of Belonging

I’ve written about community at Congregation Beth Israel before. It never ceases to amaze me how we come together. On Sunday, March 22, approximately 500 people walked to help stomp out cancer and raise money for cancer research in memory of Barbara Kahn, Rabbi Kahn’s mother. The weather was perfect, the energy high, and the walkers eager. Thank you to all who participated. We had a great turnout last year for the first walk. Who would have guessed that we would have surpassed last year by 200 people?
Sunday, April 5th was the 6th annual Kahn Golf Classic. It was another success story with fun, cigars, a little competition and a great way to bring congregants together for a great cause - religious school programs. Our second night Passover Seder brought families together to celebrate with the warmth and friendliness of the spirit of the Seder. What is more fun than groups of children hunting for the afikomen?
Whenever the opportunity occurs, join us at CBI to experience the wonderful feeling of belonging not only to a congregation, but to a close knit community that helps each other in many ways.
Warmly,
